I was married to my husband Ernest on May 9th, 2015. We were fortunate that a friend offered her yard of fresh flowers and green grass. I decided that a ballgown dress would offer the dramatic aesthetic that I tend to gravitate towards. My mom helped me get into my dress that included a hoop skirt and a corset. I couldn’t have done it without her help!
Other than my dress, everything was very laid back. I did my own makeup, I was not on time and it poured — all over our unfinished diy dance floor. However, the ceremony was completed and one of the most significant parts was my dad walking me down the aisle. Seeing my family and friends gathered together was also precious to me.
